Meet Holly Raatz, MS, LMFT
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have over four years of professional experience in the field. I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy through Capella University, and a Certificate in Play Therapy, also through Capella University.
I work with individuals, couples, and families to address emotional, psychological, or behavioral issues. The primary goal of psychotherapy is to help clients understand and manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a way that promotes mental well-being and personal growth. Psychotherapy can be used to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and more. Key aspects of psychotherapy include a strong and trusting relationship between the therapist and the client. This relationship provides a safe and supportive environment for the client to explore their thoughts and feelings.
The length of therapy varies widely, from short-term interventions lasting a few sessions to longer-term therapy that may continue for months or even years, depending on the individual's needs and progress. Clients are encouraged to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, gain insight into their issues, and learn strategies to cope with and manage them more effectively. Psychotherapy can help alleviate symptoms related to mental health conditions, promote personal growth, self-awareness, and resilience.
